Writing Lesson of the Month Network

...sharing thoughtful, mentor text-inspired lessons your students will love!

At WritingFix's Compare and Contrast Homepage Resource Page, we feature eight original graphic organizers designed by Nevada teachers who helped create our Going Deep with Compare and Contrast Thinking Guide.

If you're inspired by our examples to create an original graphic organizer or other pre-writing tool that helps students make deeper comparisons as part of the writing process, we hope you'll share with us.   In the "Reply to This" box below, you can attach a file (a saved graphic organizer or photo) to share with the rest of us.

When you attach and prepare to post, be sure to provide a brief explanation of how you use the graphic organizer you're sharing.  We can only allow you to post original graphic organizers and thinking tools here; copyrighted scans or worksheets will be deleted.

Twice a school year, we will award a copy of the "Going Deep with Compare and Contrast Thinking Guide" to the very best mentor text descriptions that are posted here.  If you don't see the "Reply to This" box below, it is because you are not yet a member of this exchange group.  To become a member, simply look for the "+Join Deeper with Blooms" link in the upper right portion of this screen.  Click on that and you'll be able to post!

Thanks for sharing!
