Spiders EWW

They're scary and spooky, how they make me shriek!
And boy, oh, boy let me tell you, they reek!

When I see on crawling, I grab a broom.
Then I whack it so hard, that it flies out of the room.

Some are black, some are brown, most in between,
I really don't like those spiders on Halloween!

My mom says they are fine.
My dad says they are a pain.
But, I say they should all disappear inside a hollow candy cane!!

Nightmare

Last night I had a nightmare,
But, my family didn't care.

I thought I saw a ghost that was made of blood,
So I ran, tripped and fell in the mud.

Giving me comfort I saw my pet owl,
But then Ithought I heard a werewolf howl.

Then I found a mansion that was very old,
But the chilly wind made me cold.

I knocked on the door, then turned the handle,
Then headed for me was a lit floating candle.

I then said, "I'm out of here!" full of fright and fear,
Then I woke up in my hometown of Hauntepleir!!

Blake-Grade 5

A Dream of October

On a dark, scary night,
All the monsters came out to fright,

Every ghoul and every witch,
Has some sort of evil twitch.

Witches and broomsticks fill the air,
There's blood and bones everywhere.

Every skeleton and scary thing,
All fell down with a bang.

Every time I come out on the night,
I always get in a bit of a fright,

And then I noticed, with a blink of an eye,
This never happened, it's only July!
