Don’t eat me! by Kris-Rajah,  aged 10 .6 (year 5 in UK)

Are there any monsters about?

Well, why are you sitting around here gobbling the British when you could be nibbling on a Russian or two, or sinking your teeth into a gobsmackingly tasty American?  Yes, it is known as a fact that British citizens have the most revolting taste when they are devoured whereas the Chinese have a spicy flavour that will automatically warm up the coldest of monsters; this is why so many monsters call them the ‘edible flame-thrower’!  On a hot summer’s day, try an Eskimo ice-pop, for they are so cold they will make a monster’s fur stand on end!  If monsters like their meals cooked they should eat an Australian, for their skin is so close to the sun that they taste like crispy bacon!

Now I want to talk about taste. Children, no matter if you grill or fly them, will all taste horrible.  And besides, children like my ever-so-small self wouldn’t even make an appetiser, whereas a plump and portly adult would make a massive main course!

In fact, you shouldn’t be eating people at all.  Yes, face the facts, meat is a deadly killer.  By becoming a vegetarian you could avoid illnesses that you don’t want to get, like bird flu or heart disease.  And according to the Physicians’ Committee of Responsible Medicine, vegetarians are 40% less likely to get cancer.  It is also known that vegetarians live ten years longer than meat eaters, so if you want to live to snack another day, stop eating meat!

So to conclude:  other races taste better than the British, children are too small to eat, and you will live longer if you become a vegetarian.  Thank you for listening and I hope you won’t eat me!
