How to use notebooks for teaching response to literature etc...?
I am using writer's notebooks in my 4th grade classroom and can't wait! But my students are assessed quarterly in writing, and these assessment scores are looked at closely by administration etc....The first quarter is narrative writing which works wonderfully with the notebook.... But then the genres are response to literature, response to informational writing, and writing a report....Any ideas on how notebooks can be used while teaching these forms of writing? They are rather dry!See More
