June, July, & August: Writing Across the Curriculum Lessons!
In Northern Nevada, as part of the implementation of Common Core Standards, we are busily designing interdisciplinary units of study to use in September. As a result, we are featuring HistoryFix, ScienceFix, and NumberFix as our summer months' thee "Lessons of the Month."
All three of these sites offer Writing Across the Curriculum ideas, which are vital to a well-designed interdisciplinary unit. All three sites make excellent use of Barry Lane's awesome Writing Across the Curriculum resource: 51 Wacky We-Search Reports.

Cool. I love that book.
Hey, wait a minute, I wrote it! Here is one of my favorite Wacky We-ports: the Recipe Poem. Marlene is reading this one year after she wrote it.
