Thanks to all the teachers who submitted entries in our annual Notebook Metaphor Contest this year! It was tough narrowing it down to four winners, but we did it. Over October, I will be using these students' entries to inspire another Four-Metaphor Poem about Writer's Notebooks to post at the website.
To make sure these four great metaphors get seen by lots of students in classrooms across the globe, we are--once again--sponsoring a friendly little contest at Pinterest for these four winning metaphors. If you are a member of Pinterest, you can "vote" for your favorite metaphor(s) by using the Pinterest link underneath each photo below. Every "like" will earn the student a point, and every "re-pin" or "save" will earn the student two points. Whichever metaphor has the most points by October 31, 2016, well, the student author of the metaphor will be sent a $25 Amazon Gift Card!
